Sound Blaster Live Value vs. Sound Blaster Live Dolby Digital 5.1

I currently have the Live Value, and I was wondering if the Dolby Digital would make a noticable difference.

I listen to a lot of mp3's and play games, and I have the Z560's.

Any other suggestions of a card that would make a difference?

It'll make a difference if you have 5.1 speakers, everything else is the same between the Live and Live 5.1.
 
The hardware difference is the addition of a third analog output which also serves as S-PDIF pass-through. The Live! Value's S-PDIF is on the board (the onboard connectors between the two are slightly different also).

So it won't make any difference with the Z560's. An Audigy or Audigy 2 would increase the S/N ratio and quality plus support EAX HD.
 
I think youd be better off with an audigy than the live 5.1 seeing how it is almost the exact same thing as the value.
