I have a Sound Blaster 2 ZS Platinum in a TT Tsunami case with side window. Is there a round replacement made for the flat cable that connects the card to the unit in the front of the case? I thought it was just a floppy cable, but when I removed it to replace it, the pins didn't seem to match with the new round cable. Can a special cable be purchased?

I don't know if they make rounded cables, but you can kind of make your own compressed cable on your own. You can kind of make a "W" out of the cable and then tie it together in a few places to keep it from unfolding.

Maybe e-mailing Creative would turn up another option for you.
 
If it is a ribbon cable (like the floppy) carefully cut between the individual small wires to split it into 5/6 pieces then wrap it in tape or heatshrink. I suggest you don't bend the cables, much less fold them.

If this was an IDE cable or something I'd say you could cut them, but when he can't get a replacement easily and cheaply if something goes wrong I would not recommend taking a blade to it.

Yes, but as far as I know, only Dell has them, and they're not for individual sale. Considering how many times I've seen this question, you'd think they'd try to make a buck or two by selling them...

If you intend to buy/steal it from someone with a Dell, it's about the same thickness as a USB cable and it'll be attached between the lower portion of their front panel and the motherboard (if they're using onboard sound. if not, it'll be attached to the card). Pretty hard to miss since probably the only other thing attached to the front panel would be the USB flat internal cable.
