As far as sound itself goes, isn't SoundStorm 2 (included on some nForce4 chipset mobos out this month) better than Audigy?

just upgraded from the Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Gamer.....i'm kind of disappointed in this sound card... i just finished installing it, listened to some mp3's and played a couple games... sound quality sounds exactly the same =T... At least I get a copy of Halo, so I ain't at all that disappointed.

Play a game with EAX 3.0/4.0 HD, get a decent pair of speakers with subwoofer..

Suddenly, you will notice one H*** of a difference, this card rocks. and distroys my onboard audio in my aspects

1. It frees up CPU and gets me better FPS in games
2. It decodes DVD-AUDIO, EAX HD which is simply amazing
3. It includes 5 awesome games

Whats not to like?!!?

great deal!

The card actually does not decode DVD Audio. It's just that it includes a license for a software DVD-Audio decoder.

Technically, any soundcard that supports 24/96 can output the equivalent of a DVD-A stream, although it's preferred to be able to do 24/192 in stereo.

Yeah, I picked up one of these at Best Buy and had to dig around the shelves for the last one. Also used that 10 % off coupon. Awesome deal.

Not that everyone could afford it, but I paired Creative S750 (7.1) with my Audigy 2 ZS.

Going from 2.1 to 7.1 and a soundcard upgrade is true nirvana. Has to be heard to be believed. Awesome sound!

I think most would recommend the Logitech 5.1 system (?Z 560 or something) - better price and very good sound.

I wish I would have seen this sooner. Have a TB SC w/ Altec 251's on one box. But I took out an Audigy 2 on my other box and went back to the soundstorm. Had a friend who needed one right away and figured I could pick another up fairly cheap. But I'd really like to get the ZS. That box has a set of Logitech 640's on it and paired with either Audigy sounds pretty good for a cheap set up. Many times better than the soundstorm. And the Logitech's sound a lot better than the Altec's. And Creative 5.1's.
