Sound/audio problem

I don't know what happened, but I can't hear any sound coming from any games. Everything else I can hear sound from, for instance when I play music, skype, midi, etc... just not from any games. Anybody know what could be the problems?

I tried uninstalling sound card, drivers, reinstall, etc... no dice.

I have kind of the same problem. Only I can't hear sound from online videos (youtube, etc). Games, mp3s, dvds, etc. work great.

It's driven me nuts now for months. I've reinstalled flash, all sound drivers, etc. numerous times. 🙁 I think I'm getting ready to format + reinstall.

Sound car is sound car man, and it worked fine before. It's bugging the hell out of me.
