Sound and the headphones

I have a C-Media sound card. When i use my Advent wireless headphones i get a pretty high volume. With these advent wireless headphones i also have volume control. However, when i use any of the other non wireless headphone like my Koss, Sony and aiwa headphones (without any volume control ) i get very low sound. That is even when i have my sound volume full i can barely hear it. As i said before when using the wireless headphones even a 10 % volume is very very high. I cannot understand why is the difference between the sound volume for the two different headphones. Is there a non wireless headphone that will give me good volume.
