I couldn't wait for this game, but now I have to choose a version!?!?! Dayum, which one to get? As a lucky owner of all three systems, there will actually be a "decision" in choosing which console to buy the game for.

Gamecube has Link as a special guest character! Awesome!
XBOX has Spawn as a special guest character! Awesome!
PS2 has Heihachi from the Tekken series as a special guest character! Ummmm, yawn.

Link is awesome, but I've been a big fan of Spawn for a while now. This is a great idea that many companies need to notice when they decide to release simultaneously on multiple systems. If anyone is as excited about this game as I am, speak up!

Heihachi beats @ss- but only if he has his pimp costume from TekkenTag

Yeah, then maybe all the Anti-MS people would get it so they could beat the crap out of Bill Gates!

Now that would have been good business planning ;)

I would buy Soul Calibur II even if there weren't any special bonus characters.

Bring on the stage of history, I say.

McFarlane worked on one of the new characters for Namco. What a nice benefit we get on the Xbox :)

For those not up with the Tekken series, Heihachi is a bad mutha. Though I would have preferred someone else (Jin, Kazuya, hell even Paul), Heihachi shouldn't be taken lightly.

I only wish it wasn't so far away :(

I was gonna say spawn until I saw how they made him in game. Something about the way he looks I just don't like.

I'd pick Link.

Man, that's a tough one between Link & Spawn. I wish PS2 had a better character, because it definitely has the best controller for fighting games, IMO. I think I'll have to give the edge to Link, but

Master Chief...with multiple weapons, including one of those badass Covenant energy swords!!!!!

if it had been Master Chief, I'd definitely pick up the XBox version!

If they were gonna rob a tekken char, they shoulda brought over fricken Xiu (sp?) or Whoorang (again.. sp?). Those 2 rocked -- Heihachi has some really boring moves, hes like a basic char, nothing really specialized. Coulda been worse I guess, we coulda gotten Tiger or Eddy as a special char in SC2, rofl that woulda sucked big time. Seriously, Spawn and Link are insanely unique characters compared to Heihachi. And since they were robbing characters from other PS2 games to play the special character role, Guilty Gear X has way more unique characters to pull from (The dude with the paper bag on his head, the angel, etc).

I have a PS2 and GameCube, but I'll be damned if I can play a fighting game on the GC's controller. I would prefer Link, but I don't think that would be worth ruining the game's controls for me.

I'm going with PS2

IMHO, Cloud or somebody from FF would have been a much better choice for PS2.

omfg, they could have done sephiroth, the 1 winged angel. Like in Kingdom Hearts. He woulda been such a badass special character. WHY DID THEY USE HEIHACHI!

lol heichi doesn't even have a weapon...he's gonna block swords with his fists.

Link is the best with spawn a close second.

I'm pissed that its pushed back to August though...frickin Japan gets it in March!

Or better yet...

CYBORG NINJA FROM MGS!!!
He already has the blade and the uber cool moves.

BTW: Even Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal: Black would have been a better choice than Heihachi!

You might want to edit the thread title to include the word POLL. I just wanted to read the thread but some people might be more interested in it if they knew you were soliciting their vote.

The character McFarlane worked on that is to be included in all versions of the game is Necrid. I HATE the way he looks, and think McFarlane could've done WAY better.

But Spawn is just sooooo bad ass looking.

Here.
And here.
And here again.

Definitely XBOX version for me.

Agreed.
WTF is that big-ass thing on his chest?
A mood ring? :frown:

Kinda think McFarland phoned that one in a bit.

And Spawn needs a cape, IMHO.
But otherwise, yeah...Spawn kicks MUCH ASS!!!
