hi guys,
ive already asked this question once, but nobody seemed to answer.
please, advice me on this:
i have that W2K Pro CD, every time i install the OS, any file or folder with non-english characters, say arabic for example, wont work.
and displays a message that u should verify that the file name or path is valid, with qestion marks instead of those non-english characters
regional settings are set correctly, SP is installed.
what could be the problem here?
it is confusing me a lot.
thanx

Log onto Windows update site and download and install the Arabic language update. Then your OS will be able to accept your Arabic characters.

I thought when installing XP you had an option to install it with a language different from US English.

I think there are about 15 different languages available at the XP update site. Select the lanuage of your choice and install it.

I am not sure if you can still use the English language after installing the Arabic language update.

You might try calling a local Arabic counselate to see if they have an answer.
