I know that there is a way, either thru DOS or Windows,to "restore" or "recapture" your computer settings, etc. as they were a couple of days ago. And, I even did this myself at one time just by stumbling onto the instructions BUT, I don't remember where I found them. I am sure that it was either thru "Windows troubleshooting" or, in a "DOS for Dummies" book that I have. Either way, I need to find out how to do this again as I had a few minor glitches with my computer and, like always, I have made it worse by fumbling around on my own.

To make things even worse, I just recently got the "Go Back" software but I haven't put it on my computer yet. (My first thing to do as soon as I get this problem solved.)

Anywho...there is nothing major going on other than I get some message boxes asking for the location of a file and such but, nonetheless things that have multiplied by my fooling around on my own and are causing problems and annoyances.

Can anyone PLEASE help me?

Are you talking about Registry-backups (there's usually only one) or what exactly? Also - which OS is it exaclty you're using? I'll assume (fearing for the worse) Win9X or ME...?

What is it exactly you need fixed? Couldn't you just re-install Win9X/ME over itself (you keep your settings) - that may help you, if it's not that serious ... your description is a little odd :D.
