It?s competition time. Right well I am about to register the domain for my new company, which is going to be called either dotedge or dotedgedesigns, but I need a logo. My early attempts have been very bad (look Here :(), and so I am going to open it up to you guys and gals

The Prize: The prize to the design that I eventually use will be 7 whole days (yes 1 week! ;)) of seti work units from my chief cruncher (a Duron 850@1000) :D

So all you budding (or actual) CAD artists get designing and start entering them here!

Come on people you know you want to it?ll be fun and you are helping out a TeAm mate, you don?t want somebody from DSLR to win those work units do you now? So get to it! :) :)

Hmm not really sure, depends on when i get bored ;) shall we call it 3 days? just so long as we end it 7days before the power pot is handed out it will all be ok :D

Alex, all my software and kit is at work. I dont get into work until Monday... Give me a chance :) Must you confine me to using these inferior tools? ;)

I'll make an entry when I get chance to do something on Monday :)

Do you have any color scheme/font style in mind? Eg. blue/yellow with a modern font or red/black with an industrial font. I'll whip something together for you:)

teriba: i was planning on going for a kinda aqua and white colour scheme but hey if you can think of somthing better i'm open to sugestions!

No guarantees. :p I am the IT 'person' for a company that has a specialist graphics designer though, so I'll get some ideas from her :D

Alex, sorry but this image will be a bit late...

My machine chewed up half its RAM today - and it took all morning to get it to a working state again (re-install etc).

Hopefully tomorrow.

Migroo: don't worry i have exams starting soon so i won't have time to make the site for a while, just wanted to get things started :)

Teriba: That font and colour looks exactly like what i want, care to tell me some of your secrets (font, colour, program etc)

micron: I liked your first idea playing on the dotedge theme, i fell like i want to get a logo that people will be able to work out without necessarily working out the text. Keep trying though


God this is going to be very difficult to judge in the end i think i am going to have to hand out a weeks worth of work units to more then 1 person, as there are bits i like to each and every design so far!
