Sort of Hot- HP 6200C Scanner with Auto Doc feeder $69

HP Scanjet 6200C with Auto DocBrown Box, Software,
USB Cable. Brand new with auto document feeder. This is the same document feeder that the 6300 series scanners use and that has an MSRP of $199 (just for the feeder!) If anyone here needs an OK scanner, or they want an Auto doc. feeder for their 6300 sacnner, this is fairly HOT. This is my first post of my own hot deal, and if it is not hot, please flame away!

This is defintely a HOT deal even for refurbish. I got my 6300cse about 8 months ago for almost $200 and i love it. It's FAST and STABLE, however lack of WinME drivers for HP scanners really sux!!! They charge $10 just download the drivers off their site.

I have the 6350cxi (which is the 6300 with feeder).

Two notes:

1) the feeder is only adequate. It can't handle large paper loads,
and it isn't impossible to jam. It definitely isn't worth $199
as an add on.

2) the 6200 is WAY inferior to the 6300 (which I think is a great
scanner). Among other things, the 6200 has a track record of
breaking down. Check out the reviews in places like cnet. You'll
see a LOT of people complaining about their 6200 biting the dust
shortly after the warranty ran out.

I saw the 6200 at ConsumerDepot.com the other night, and thought that
at $69 it was a pretty good deal. But to be honest, the
Epson 1200U that was $99 at J&R a couple of months ago was a much
better deal.

The HP web site has an update for PrecisionScan Pro, all OS's, available for free download. The one for WinME says:
