What size PS do I need for an AMD Duron? I have an old case with no fans except for PS which is a 250W. I really like the Antec series case.

My vote is for at least a good-quality 300W, or maybe more to give you some cushion for upgrading in the future. They say the cheapest way to buy, is to buy the right thing the first time.

If you have a board that takes Durons over 1GHz, you might check to see what AthlonXPs it supports. Since AthlonXPs have a faster front-side bus speed and more level-2 cache, they might be a better choice for just a little more money.

If you want a particular suggestion... before AMD stopped publishing their recommended list with specific power supplies listed, they were listing the 300W Enhance power supply as being recommended for all speeds of Durons and AthlonXPs, and the Enhance is pretty affordable.

200 watts is plenty. we have an athlon XP 1500 on a sparkle 250 watt ps running just fine. has long has it isa uality PS you will be ok with 300 watts. Antec should fit the bill nicely

Should work fine,if you`re going to install lots of hardware or thinking of upgrading the CPU in the near future ,I would upgrade the PSU to a good quality 300w.

Might be very risky for stability purposes though. Also makes it a real headache tracking down mysterious troubles that will crop up. The Sparkle 250 watt though is better quality than some 300 watts which is no doubt why some can get away with it. You might be OK with 250; go ahead and try. However, IMO you should go for no less than 300. Anything less and you could very well have to buy again in the future if you add on additional components. Buying twice when you could have just bought the right one in the first place just doesn't add up to fiscal sense (cents). 😉
