This company was once a good place to do business but they have gone
downhill. I have placed a few orders with them with few problems,
besides the fact that they never sent a tracking number. However on
my last order I called to verify if an item was in stock because they
don't have any way of telling on their site and "Sterling" in sales
said yes they had plenty of them. I placed my order immediately. Next I called 5 days later because I never got a tracking number and was told my order was not shipped because they were putting my motherboard cpu and heatsink together and testing them for free. [I thought this was odd because I did not ask for this and because the cpu was going into a different system of mine and the heatsink was for a friend]
Anyway 11 days later I called and my order still had not shipped because they said my motherboard was not in stock!!! I told them they
had LIED BIG TIME about putting it together. I then wanted to cancel
my order and was told I could not do it over the phone. They said I
had to e-mail them at
cancel@monarchcomputer.com and I did. Ten more
days later my credit card had not been credited so I called up American Express and refused payment on that charge.
Online Retailers like Monarch Computer ruin it for others. I will
never make another online purchase again. I will only purchase something if i can talk to a human on the phone and order 2nd day
air.
By the way after I canceled my order I placed a new order from
MWAVE at 4:30 my time in New York and had it on my doorstep at 10:40
the next day.
By the way... My credit card still has not been credited! They are still being investigated by my credit card company who was shocked at their lack of compliance.
