i know enermax rox, but its not on amd's approved list. ive had 0 problems with sparkle power, but ive also never had over dual 1ghz coppermines running on one.
Does the speed of the proccesor matter that much when looking at power supplies? They draw only so much wattage, right? How much more can a 1.6 draw over a 1? Most people have 50W to spare in their 400W system anyway, right?
Wildebeast....It has been noted on these and other message boards that Higher output power supplies are yeilding better results when using the Tbirds over 1.5Ghz.
Iam running a 1.5 bird with a 300 watt sparkle and I am having trouble with my voltages,I assume it is PS related.I have dropped my 12v several times and some how last night my Vcore was up to 3 something volts asus probe is what i am going by temps on the proc are recorded at 114 C. whe the Vcore volt spike happen.Has anyone seen this before,I need an enermax Quick
Gil,
I just ordered one to preempt problems like that (running a 300w now). www.bestbyte.net has excellent prices on Enermax PSUs. The guy who runs the shop is very nice and their shipping is cheap too...
ogn...i think you're is the 550 W...i havent' seen any higher than that. But anyways...enermax rocks...just cuz it's not on AMD's approved list doesn't mean that they aren't good. In Actuality...they are one of the best...ask any enermax owner's if they had a single problem. I know...you've prolly read MrThompson's post on enermax but don't worry...his sources (the article from cluboc) isn't valid...they actually updated the article and stated that ENERMAX PS's ARE COMPLIANT WITH AMD's...and the only reason it's not on that dumb list is because they haven't got to test them. Trust me...Enermax...i recommend the 431 W. It's sufficient.
<< i know enermax rox, but its not on amd's approved list. >>
The AMD list is a guide only and they have not tested and listed all the good PSUs,btw in the Enermax booklet it says the VE models are AMD recommended.
