ok i just want to make sure everything is compatable here. this computer is for gaming, video editing and expantion, LOTS of expantion.

a8n-sli ~$180 ebay
amd64 3500 winchester/w retail hs/f $285 zzf
6600gt $190newegg
x-dreamer case $59 newegg
enermax wisper2.0 atx 535w psu $109 newegg
corsair value 1gig ram $135 newgg
windows xp home sp2 $92 new egg
120mm fan and 2 80mm ans newegg ~$20
keeping hdd dvds drives flloppy from existing computer

little over $1200 with tax and shipping.

does everyhting seem compatable and should i change anything

Yeah, it's compatible. Go ahead and get the A8N-SLI if you're getting it that cheap, too (MSI's single-graphics card Neo4 Platinum is about $160 at Newegg; I bring this up because it's very unlikely you'll really want to do 6600GT SLI in the future).

PSU might be overkill; how many drives do you have?

ok nvm if u rnt o/cing and u want a 3500+, then go for it, but i still stand by my $100 savings by going with a 6600 vanilla card

A 6600 vanilla is considerably cheaper, but not by $100, and performance is significantly less than that of the 6600GT, though still adequate for todays games.

I probably wouldn't bother with 6800GT SLI in the future either; by then, equivalent or superior cards will probably be out for the same price or less.

o u were tlkin about 6600 i thought u said 6800s...sry my bad yea i looked at the 6600 but deiceded to go with the gt beacuse it has ddr3 and its 200mhz faster
