sorry about all that cold air America

lol yeah what's up with that, we're hardly getting any snow here in Canada (at least in my part) and the US is getting all of it. Not really complaining though. 😛

I was talking to a customer from Mass and we got to talking about the weather. I said that we were waiting for global warming. She got super offended.

Oopsies.

I was in Albany, NY last weekend and on Monday January 25, 2010, we had temps well above freezing and record rains and flooding...definitely not normal for this time of year.

Lack of memory - there is always the January thaw that comes through aroiunt the 3rd week of January.

Thanks, I've been enjoying the cool weather. It actually feels like winter this year instead of the prolonged fall we've gotten for the last decade or so :^)

It was 40 out here in California last night, I know that's not *cold* compared to these fucking minus temps being mentioned here. But shit, it's cold enough for me. I have no heat cos I'm poor and my toes were numb, even with socks on while I slept. I don't think I could survive in a place like Ohio or Detroit.

They have heat there though. 😛

I'm with you, it's way too cold there for me...and I grew up in NY.

13 °F (-11 °C) now
It's starting to warm up a little here over the next few days. Looks like mid-to-upper 20s throughout the week.

At least we're not getting hammered with snow like we did at the beginning of the year.

Just go through the car wash.

I always thought they closed if it was below freezing...but I just ran my car through one the other day!

Gotta get in the car first! It was pretty cool, a perfect clear 1/2" layer of ice on every surface. Would have been neat to pop off the ice shell and pretend to drive it.

Trees are pretty covered in ice. Last night with the full moon, the ice was glowing on the trees

I live in WI, we've had almost no snow so far this year in this area. We've had one minor snow fall, maybe 5" and fluries a few other times. Normally by now we've had a few major storms. I bet many of the southern states have had far more snow than we've had so far. It's kind of nice. 🙂

I watched the video in the OP's link and had to chuckle. I'm sure it's a big deal for people that rarely experience severe weather, but seeing roads like in the video would be a huge improvement over most of the crap we've gotta put up with.

We just had a huge snow storm that dropped almost a foot of snow over 2-3 days, then the temps dropped to -30C (-22F) and huge winds made getting around almost impossible.

after your black person joke with your boss, jokes like this with random customers, i think you should stop joking. you obviously really suck at gauging people and the jokes aren't funny to begin with
