when is the new season supposed to premier???

tonight hbo is playing episode 26 at 8pm EST (ppl say this is supposed to be the premier episode of the newest season)... i'm not sure why it wouldn't be hyped more if it really was.....

so whats up--- is this for real, or is the premier at a later date ???


 
The last I heard, the new season (four) starts in September. Episode 26 would be the first episode of the third season, I think (~13 shows per season). At least there are 13 episodes per DVD Season Box Set.

The show where Janice kills Richie Aprile was the last show of the 2nd season.

Between the 2nd and 3rd seasons, the lady who played Tony's Mom died, and while she is in the first show of the 3rd season, she is basically computer enhanced and inserted in there.

The 4th season should start this fall, about the time they release the 3rd season on DVD in time for Christmas.

Oops, I am wrong. The last show of the second season is the really weird one with the talking fish, where Big Pussy gets killed for being an informant.
