I always got the feeling that hitting a boss strait off is kind of forbidden. Also, will they go after the real families, those that live civilian lives? There are a lot of directions that this could go in. If they did try to cap Sak then they would have to worry about the power vacuum that would occur and who would replace him.

haven't you seen the Godfather? they're gonna go to the mattresses.

I remember Christopher saying something at the beginning of this episode that cracked me up, but I don't remember what it was :( Anyone know? I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.

Of course, I could be out of my mind.
It was the lyrics from "Born to Run." Tony asked why Christopher was late and he said, "The highway was jammed with broken heros on a last-chance powerdrive." In hindsight it was kind of foreshadowing everything ("Baby we were born to run.").

Meh.

Many people liking it but c'mon.

The FBI would warn Ade about trying to flip Chris, and probably even track her. She wouldn't be on her own that day.

However, yes you get to see what heartless scumbags these guys really are.

One of you brought up a point, yes you can hit the boss and get away with it.

See history about the Paul Castellano hit.

We're discussing it in that context. If have problems understanding that, well that's your problem.

Yes, we already knew that......and the time she's arriving and the car she'll be arriving in.......but, nothing to be concerned about.

I think they were trying to show that the FBI was just as heartless
as Tony and Christopher. They didn't care about Ade - she wasn't
giving them anything good. They wanted Christopher, and when
she didn't deliver, she was as good as dead to the FBI too.

Ade crying as she was being driven to the woods was really heart
wrenching. She knew deep down it was all over.

I like The Sapranos, it's a good show... but you have to realize
Tony and his crew have zero redeeming values... which is pretty
much a reflection of the bulk of society - not just the mob.

Sad but, in my opinion, true.

Wow....what an awesome episode...

I LOVED the Springsteen reference..when they asked Christopher where he had been
and he said..

"The Highway's jammed with lonesome heroes on a last chance power drive"...

Especially with Little Steven sitting right there :D

Yeah, that was great. Especially since he said it so casually and didn't ham it up. That's the best way to deliver lines like that.

Pretty f'ing funny. ;)

watched it again, and they did this as a scare tactic...the told Ade that they would refuse to protect her unless she wore a wire.
