SOPA is not a bad idea in itself to protect copyright holders. However, this is NOT the way to do it. Why don't you do some more reading? SOPA is FAR to overreaching and needs some major amendments, which have all been shot down so far.

Bills don't get created by co-sponsors but a Bill do get voted on that were proposed...as in this case proposed by Republicans...deal with it bro.

I would put blame on who originally proposed the Bill until someone can show me evidence that the Dems where going to do it first then I put MOST of the blame on the Republicans. I can't help there are some Dems in Congress without a brain.

What you aren't getting is that it doesn't matter who created it. If a Democrat created it, I'd be just as pissed because again, the number of Republicans and Democrats who have signed on as co-sponsors are roughly equivalent. In fact, as it now stands, more Democrats have signed on as co-sponsors than Republicans. At the end of the day, guess what that means? BOTH parties are out to screw us. That's the point others are trying to make.

I don't like the Republicans and I don't like the Democrats. I realize both are out to protect their own interests (ie, getting re-elected and padding their own pockets). You have one party that won't back down and throws hissy fits until it gets its way (Republicans) and the other party who won't stand up to them (Democrats).

The rabid right partisan hacks are just as bad as the rabid left partisan hacks. That isn't surprising or a grand revelation, nor does it make one group more "right" than the other in this case. I don't recall seeing anyone on the rabid right defending this bill either.
