I'm getting about $2K back from the gov't - I'm thinking about maybe a 21" LCD, or maybe some new shoes for the xB....decisions decision 🙂

What are you guys doing with yours?

If I get a refund, I'm investing 100% of it.

im anticipating the next tattoo fad. now that the idea is out there, just wait and see. its just a matter of time now.

Quick file a copywrite so you can get rich.

I probably have to pay $10K this year. We'll see. I'm going to have to have someone else do my return for the first time.

Bought and sold a house.
Sold a bunch of stocks, turned in some stock options.

good luck squisher. with that much change I'd pay somebody else to do it as well, and if you don't like the result go somewhere else and compare. Or post in the Tax thread for general guidance.

<---not a tax/CPA guy

not sure how much i'll get back this year. the last few years it was about $600. luckily i have never had to owe yet.

its currently pending. stupid 'as-seen-on-tv' products backing up the whole process. like anyone needs an automatic battery changer. "but wait, how do you get batteries into the battery changer?" "well, you just... aw balls! didnt consider that!!"

How kind of you all to let the goverment borrow money interest free.

It's almost impossible not to... if you underwithold under a certian threshold, you get the hell fined out of you and if you work somewhere where your choice in deductions is either a 0 or a 1 and nothing more flexible, you HAVE to have it one way or the other

As for me, I'm going to put it away for a rainy day.

why is your choice 0 or 1? You can set your withholdings any number you wish, up to 9, generally.
