Ah crap that sucks... ok I'll have to figure out which credit cards I used with the site now. I never stored my credit card number on their site so I was hoping I wouldn't be caught up. What a pain.
Yes it does. I had my CC stolen from TJMaxx. A year after I shopped there.. I had the card just sitting with a zero balance and Macy's calls asking if we just made a $800 purchase.
Since then I use one card for all purchases. That way I can monitor them very easy.
I've monitored my bills closely and so far no fishy charges.
This is a PR disaster for Monoprice. Especially since their target market is highly technical people. They dropped the ball big time. I feel torn though. Monoprice is one of the vary few places to buy reasonably priced cables. Still, they're going to have to do a heck of a lot to win that trust back. They can start by admitting the f--ed up by not notifying their customers.
