In the heroin addict kind of way. 'I really need this or I fear I may die.'

I just downed a 240mg energy drink and don't even feel it. I think I've probably hit 1000mg in a day.

This is probably not good.
 
this past week i started weening off of diet sodas. prior to this week i was drinking 3-4 120z cans a day, sometimes with fountain sodas at lunch. but last weekend i decided to change my eating habits.

this week i'm only having 1 a day, when i first get here, then water the rest of the day.

next week i plan to just drink water and no diet soda. i'm sure i will be getting a headache from no caffeine when i do that heh.

i will drink them though on the weekends when having some mixed drinks though.

I'm an AT poster and I'm addicted to caffeine.

I drink this twice daily:

Not a coffee fan. However, with my current schedule of a 45 minute commute 2x a day, I often times find myself with a monster lo-carb.

For dieting, I do use caffeine + ephedrine though.

In either case, I have no addiction to caffeine. My fiancee is one of the many that apparently can't function without a cup of coffee. Frankly, I find coffee HIGHLY overrated. I mean, I don't mind a damn good espresso on a cold winter night, but daily morning disgusting coffee before work? No thanks
 
I love the smell of coffee, but I don't like actually drinking it.

I guess this means I need to start snorting coffee.

You cannot stop cold turkey or you will suffer severe withdrawal symptoms such as a debilitating migraine, or worse. You have misused caffeine and need to slowly wean yourself off of it.
 
Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I stopped caffeine. The headaches sucked the first couple of days but are pretty much gone now. I haven't given up soda completely yet (I have been drinking one 20oz 7up or Sprite a day) but the plan is to give up soda completely really soon.
 
It puts me to sleep, so I don't drink it normally. I think Arizona Iced Tea has it, sometimes I drink that.

1000mg is really not that much... there is no "weening" off. The most you will have is a headache the next day. Carry some aspirin/advil/aleeve and you are good to go 😵
 
I probably drink at least 6 diet sodas a day. First thing I do when I wake up is drink one. Maybe another before I go into work. A 32oz for lunch, and one for dinner. I also drink 64oz or more of water a day.

Before the 7-11's near work became gross, I use to drink two 64oz, during work hours. I also used to drink a Coke before going to sleep. I dont think its addiction, as I simply like the taste of sodas, even diet. I dont drink coffee or tea.
 
I am, but I can stop whenever and have done it multiple times. I always come back to it because I love the taste of coffee.

Physically, but not psychologically. I could skip coffee fine, but I'd have a screaming headache if I did.

Only 3 migraines I've had in my life were directly related to unknowing going cold turkey on drinking caffeinated cans of soda. (I had switched soda) Certainly less than 1,000mg / day, right?

I was out of commission for a day each time, with nausea that I never want to feel again.
 
when i don't have coffee in the morning i have physical withdrawl symptoms. so yes, i am addicted.
 
I stick to tea. Usually two tea packets a day. Sometimes a soda at one point or another, too. Probably only 100mg caffeine max per day.
