should i go with the gf4 ti4200 for 195.00 with free shipping or the gf4 ti4600 for 279.00 with free shipping, both from gameve.com. the 4200 is a house brand msi, the same one that is in the hot deals forum and the 4600 is a aopen

would i really notice that much of a difference between the two? I would be using dvi on my dell 17" lcd if that makes a difference.

I'd get the 4400. Personally I don't think I'll be able to tell the difference. Of course, once the Radeon 9700 comes out, prices will fall. Of course, if you wait forever, you'll never buy anything.

(I think he means to wait for the 9700 to come out then you can get a Gf4 whatever or an ATI 8500.......... sincee prices will definately drop I know what you mean about waiting though.......... but remember if you wait to long you will never get anything

Nothing but the Radoen 9700 and NV30 are going to have teh bawls to play doom III. Sooooo, I would say wait, or buy one of those less-than-a-hundred-bucks GF3Ti500's that are in Hot Deals, and upgrade in 6-8 months.
