It comes in both AGP and PCI-e, and unfortunately last time I checked the AGP version was the cheaper version too.

damn :/ anyone else got ne suggestions?

Drop that MSI board. The only reason someone should buy that board is for the onboard video. Check out a nice cheap Nforce4 Ultra board. Take a look at the Chaintech one.

It's not too bad though

The X700pro is no slouch in performance though.

i'm trying to search for micro boards.. anyone got any good suggestions? since someone said drop the MSI board. It needs to be micro tho.

Also, what about the 6600? is the original 6600 ok? or should I stick with my x700 Pro?

MSI makes good boards. The person who recommded switching from it made that recommendation because you will be using a video card, thus making the onboard video useless. So save some cash and get a mobo without onboard video. 🙂

Edit: Just did a cursory search, and the most you're going to save is $10-15. So stick with the MSI if you're so inclined.

Foolish, tsk tsk. 😛 That's a MATX board for MATX case.

The Foxconn NF4 MATX board is also good, no onboard vid, therefore cheaper.

Not much choice in matx boards, the only other PCI-e board with no onboard video I know of is the foxconn. And shuttle makes one, but I think they only sell it in a barebones.
