lol. and yet people still support blu-ray.
Maybe because Blu-ray consists of more than just Sony. Should I boycott regular DVD's because of Sony Pictures movies?

Companies would stop releasing movies in Blu-ray if no one bought them.

Jesus, I start to think, "hey, maybe I'll just go ahead and get a Blu-Ray player," and then Sony comes out with crap like this. F them!

Blu-Ray is Sony's baby. And for crap like this, I'd like to see it fail.

Lets all go buy every PS3 in existance! Without the software sales, Sony will surely fail!

For something that is Sony's baby, they have more hardware and software support than Toshiba and HD DVD.

Both HD-DVD and BR should be embarassed at the way things have gone. There's absolutely no excuse for a disc not to play correctly.

To some extent that wouldn't be a bad idea, as Sony loses money on all the PS3s. Buy them and then use them to crunch Folding at Home instead, that way you could say its for a good cause as apparently the PS3 is a beast at folding. It'd make Sony look like even bigger a-holes after they gripe about people buying the console only to fold.

I bet the marker trick works with this one too. LOL

Marker trick?

I think that people found out that by marking over the spot of a disc where the DRM data is stored that it wouldn't read that and so wouldn't stop the disc from playing/being copied. This might've been for their CDs, I don't really remember.
