I've had mine since last week, got it put in and well... it plays cd-rw burned cd's... talk about awesome 🙂

So far I really like all the features on the little thing, too bad it's last years model... oh well...
 
Well, I like what I got and it does what it's supposed to.

Also, I've got a lot of sony products that perform to my liking w/out many problems.

I wasn't really wanting a $250 cd player, I just wanted to have a cd player in my car.

but sony does suck for car audio, acutally they suck at everything, the only decent things they make are those wega tvs and the discmans/walkmans/md players and playstation.
im sure there are more good things that i didnt mention, but im also sure their crappy products far outnumber their good products
 
Then which brand of car audio equipment is good? I have been thinking about getting a new car CD player... so far I have looked at Pioneer or Kenwood...

and that's not enough for you? Sony also makes great monitors, digital camera and DV.
 
sony does not make quality car audio components IMO.. my friend has on of their "xplod" cd players in his truck and he went thru 2 of them, both broke (the flipping face mechanism)

I've had a kenwood excelon KDC-X811 with mechanica face flip (dmask+) for 2 years with no problems

They also make good laptop computers. Most of the stuff that Sony makes is high-quality, so I don't see where you get off saying that they suck at "everything".

Oh, I also had a Sony in-dash CD player in my last car, and it worked great.
 
I don't think sony's entry level stuff is all that great. My brother's 5 disc home cd changer skips & makes weird noises pretty often. I had to disassemble and resolder poor solder joints on my sisters sony cd head unit....etc.

That said, I'm perfectly happy with the sony cd head unit I found on the ground on the way home from church on sunday 🙂
