The newegg one is not the same product. The sony being discussed is the HS model, whereas the newegg one is the S model.

The HS model has 12ms response time vs the S model's 25ms. The HS also has a nicer physical design too. That's all I can remember off the bat, but there are other better features on the HS model

No not the vx910... the viewsonic equivalent is the VP912B, which is selling for $617 @ dell home. The VP912B has the viewsonic version of the x-brite and has 12ms as well.

I have this monitor sitting right next to my 21" trinitron. I have to say it's gives the trinitron a run for it's money. Only thing I don't like is the super shiny screen. You get lots of reflections. I don't even need the extra bright. I have to turn the brightness all the way to low.
