Sony WEGA 27" $494 at Circuit City- YMMV

I saw the Sony WEGA 27" at the Circuit City in Richmond, CA (near the Hilltop Mall) for $494. Its the cheapest I've seen for the set (usually $549); however, I don't see it listed at this price on-line, so it may be store specific. (It worked out for me- I had bought it two weeks ago at Circuit City for $549, and they refunded me the difference right there.)

The model# is KV27FS13- its basically the WEGA without any of the ectras (no PIP, etc).

Bought it earlier this year for 449 at Best Buy. I did pricematch to J&R last time. My friend bought one too at Tweeter using my reciept to Pricematch. Awesome TVs.

Lucked out and got an open box @ Sears for $300--really a great TV--heavy though.😀

wega's have a pretty high markup rate (between 25% to 30% the last i checked), so if the regular price is about $549, so as long as stores sell em for a bit over $385 or so they'll still end up with a profit...

i dunno how circuit city works, but i've heard from people here that they do bargain on the prices, so maybe you could press your luck and try to get it a bit lower
