Sony Vaio

My son has a Sony VAIO Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz. It has 512MB RAM installed, but 32MB is used for onboard video. I'd like to buy him a video card for Christmas. Just wondering how to open the case. I don't see any screws on back. Must be some kind of snap fasteners. I don't know the exact model number but can probably get it if necessary. Can anyone tell me how these cases are opened?

I don't know off hand but try checking the manual (which I'm guessing you don't have). Otherwise go to the Sony support site and try to find the manual for your computer. It should have detailed directions in there.

To get the side open first you must take the top off by lifting the 2 latches on the back top piece and then push the piece toward the back of the computer then you should see a lever to pull and the side will fall off.
