I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with my friend's sony desktop... but I have no idea thus far.
Here's the problem...
The computer seems to have trouble turning on. A week and a half back, it would randomly shutoff during operation (happened about 5-6 times) until finally it stopped turning on a few days back.
When I tried to push the power button, the computer would flash on for about a second, and then shutoff. The fans would rotate, the words "VAIO" on the front would light up, and then immediately shut off.
For some unknown reason, I got it to work a few days back by just replacing the power cords and RAM, but after two days it wouldn't turn on again.
So... I have no idea what's going on. I tried connecting and reconnecting power cables but thus far I have had no luck. Any of you guys have any ideas? Help would be grealy appreciated. I don't want my friend to have to buy another computer (he got this thing less than a few months ago - unfortunately the warranty expired).
