Its good to know that a $4k tv is better than a $2k tv, but I don't think in practice the benefits of the higher priced tv is going to be very noticeable. All the sets have some flaws, just make sure that whatever you pick doesn't do the stuff that you don't like.

How these sets look in the stores is meaningless, its almost all due to how they are setup and calibrated plus the placement and lighting in the store.
