Best Buy has the Sony Spressa 8x4x32x CD-RW for 149.99 - 20 MIR = 129.99. They are also offering a free $20.00 gift-card which brings the price to $109.99

Explain to me how a giftcard that you cannot use on this purchase can make the price go down to 109. Its $149, MINUS a $20 MAIL IN REBATE.

Buyer Beware, The hardware is ok but the proprietary recording software Sony includes isn't worth the CD its on. If you don't have an alternative software solution I would avoid this drive.

I have this drive and it rocks. I own EZCD4 and CloneCD, so I honestly never tried the Sony Cd Xtreme. I just looked at the menu and feature wise, it looks very much like EZCD4. I'm curious. What is wrong with it? BTW, this drive unlike many others is 100 % CloneCD compatible. I have not run into a CD yet that this combo can't dupe. I'm almost through my 2nd 50 CD spindle and not a single coaster, always burning at 8X.

You are lucky no coasters!
I've (well my sister and I) have been getting SCSI/IDE errors during the burning process after around 60% while burning audio CDs. But burning data CDs never had a problem so far. Just recently bought this drive last week when those IOMEGAs were nowhere to be found.... and i got it for 129.99 when it was marked for 149.99. I'll take the $20 off, and with the rebate, it comes down to 99.99. :) Their error worked in my favor so I'm happy. But these audio CD coasters are buggin me!
