Sony PSP Memory Stick Pro Duo for $99.74

I have heard the Green 1 GB memory stick pro duo has faster memory but both are PSP compatible. Can anyone confirm?

Does the PSP support DIVx? If so, i could grab this and a PSP and use it for a portable video player.

No. Video must be Mpeg4 format. But it's piece of cake to convert any video file like Divx to Mpeg4.

PSP can do whole lot more than video though. Homebrew and emulation is where it excels. 1gig stick is plenty for movies, bunch of emulators, pictures, and mp3.

I have a 512mb from Sandisk and its green and it works just fine.

I bought this card last week for $95.38. 1GB

They also have this one for $92.65. 1GB "gaming card"

Shipping is $2 for either card. I got the regular sandisk since it comes with the memory stick pro adapter. Not that I'll ever use it... but hey! 🙂

Got a similar one on Mwave for roughly the same price, and it was in stock. I just got homebrew on my PSP, and I'm really loving it. I can make this little mobile all-in-wonder do anything. Plus Wipeout Pure is badass in big multiplayer games.

Good deal!

i got this same mem stick for 78 bucks shipped from staples last week.
used a 30 off 150 coupon and pricematched it to ecost or buy.com to get 54 bucks back...
not sure if it still works...

anyway it's a good card with good warranty. I'm happy with it.

I picked this up from Amazon last week. It works great in my PSP, playing video files flawlessly. Plus, it comes with an adapter to make it the same size as regular memory sticks -- necessary if you want to use many types of USB adapters to load data directly to the stick since most don't accomodate the smaller size duo. Same for devices like sony cameras, many of which only accept the larger form. The newer memory doesn't come with the adapter, which costs about $8-$10 purchased seperately.

The newer translucent green sticks may be faster, but I would be surprised given the speed with which I was able to transfer a 500 meg video file to my PSP.

How small can you compress a video and still have it look kinda' nice? I'm trying to figure out the best card for watching videos on my PSP. And, what is homebrew? 😕
