They say its the Xperia software, but its 628 megs.
And when I rebooted my phone I got that cute little green guy with the dodecahedron in his tummy.

Its gotta be Lolipop.

How does 5.0 treat the Z series phones? I am running my Z Ultra on 4.4.4 with no real complaints, and it is going to be a bit of hassle to update it because of the changes I have made.

Treats it well. Stable and battery life is still excellent. Sony's UI remains very minimal and near stock Android.

On my Z3 anyway.

Nothing went wrong. Install was fine. Had Lollipop for several days.
Now phone wont boot up. Just flashes the Sony Xperia screen for a second and dies.

Alright. Got the son of a bitch working again.

Had to do multiple hard resets with the PC Companion software running.

It worked. Now I'm making a backup in case this happens again.

Recovery mode and wipe cache?

Recovery mode and reset?

Flashtool to stock ROM?

Dude, NONE of that stuff works unless you can boot the phone. Mine didnt even do that.

Had plug it into the computer and hold the power & volume up buttons for 10 seconds. It worked after several tries.

If you cant boot to fastboot or recovery then something is very borked.

Dont you spam the volume button when the LED lights to get into recovery on a Sony?

Where are you now? Can you get to recovery?

Another big update for Xperia devices.
Will let you know what happens.

OK, it was 5.0.2. Nothing seems any different.
