Sony, Nokia or Mitsubishi?

Which one of these 19" monitors is the best buy?

Sony Multiscan G400
Nokia 446 pro
Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 920

Does anyone have any own experience about these monitors or know some tests?

Well I don't have any of those but from experience of others this is how I would rank them:

1. Sony
2. Mitsubishi
3. Nokia

Hope this helps!

Albert.

What about Iiyama?

The Iiyama Vision Master 451 Pro is a great 19" Monitor.

1920 x 1284@85hz I think.

1280 x 1024@110Mhz.

But if the iiyama is expensive or you don't like it, their is still Samsung. The 900NF is well respected on these forums.

On the subject of Nokia monitors, I read somewhere that they have really poor screen regulation and power distribution. I am just saying what I have read, I have never used a Nokia Monitor, so I couldn't say whether it is true.

I had a similar choice and I went with the Iiyama because it was cheaper then the rest and it got rave reviews. It looks cool too, with the curves and the handy USB hub. Sony make good monitors too, but many of the British computer magazines don't really rate them saying that they are overpriced and don't really offer better image quality for the money you will be paying. I bet many people on these forums will disagree though! 😉 Most of the UK mags seem to imply that people only buy sony monitors for the brand.

Here is a link to the iiyama, so you can see it:

I'm sure which ever monitor you choose will be brilliant.

Good luck 🙂

from what i've heard the mitsubishi, its almost exactly like the iiyama . Personally i've got a kdsav195tf, and its got the same tube as the g400 at least. its a really good monitor, but if you aren't trying to save a ton of cash, i'd get the sony or the mitsu

Well here in sweden there is no pricedifference between these monitors, so if the sony is overpriced, so is the rest of them...

How about geometry? I have heard that the sony has some problems with producing straight lines at the edges.

I'm having the worst luck with monitors. First I bought a 900NF that was fvcked up. Sent it back and went with a G400, which had problems. Now I'm on my second G400 and its going back again.:| I might just go back to the 900NF

<<I might just go back to the 900NF>>

Shoulda just gone for a second 900NF and never had to bother with G400.
