Sony merges gaming group with other divisions

Bloomberg - Sony has announced a series of changes in their company structure. The one console gaming related is the merging of Sony Computer Entertainment (the game business) with the divisions responsible for the VAIO PC and Walkman. The new group will be called the Networked Products & Services Group and will be lead by crazy Kaz Hirai.

The interesting thing is that the group will be working on creating devices that can connect with each other as well as the internet. What this portends for the Playstation console and portable we will have to wait and see.

If anyone thought the PS3 was super expensive, there is going to be serious shock with the PS4. Either they don't go as crazy and surprise us all with a 399 console to start, or they go the route I fully expect and 599 would be a steal.

This can only be a good thing for Sony. Interconnectivity will be more and more important as time passes. That's one thing I love about having my 360, Zune, and Media Center. Everything works seamlessly with each other, no complications.

Why would it be? I pay monthly for a Zune Pass, do you want to insinuate that's ignorant as well?

I have those 3 devices and I have never once had a problem connecting them.
