2 weeks ago I was over at Sam's club and I saw the had a 2 pack of Sony 25 DVD+RWs on sale for 30 bucks. Well looked like a good deal so I bought a pack. Well after many coasters later I ended up sending all 50 disks back(over 20 confirmed defective). AHHHHHH When you add the shipping costs I've paid about normal CompUSA price for this crap media.

Never again will I buy Sony crap. Never again.

I like to buy Sony "Made in Japan" ones, they're often rebadged Taiyo Yudens. And you realize that Sony doesn't actually make media, they just rebadge them right?

Why waste time risking buying 'made in japan' ones for a possiblity of TY's? Just buy them online.

I've had the same problem with Sony media. They discs don't have all of the sectors. I've burned 1000's of DVD's and the best I've used is TY, and the worst is Sony.

I have been pretty happy with the sony dvd-r's I have used. I only burn at 4x regardless of the max speed of the media and I have never encountered a bad sony disc(at least so far anyway).
