I have these headphones and they're great. I'm not an audiophile by any means (in fact, I tend to be an audiophile-sceptic) but whether its placebo-effect or not, I seek-out these headphones among my various options whenever I want to listen to music.

Even prefer them to my $300 Bose QC2s. Which might not be saying much (the QC2s have freakishly-good noise-canceling on planes, though). But it's still true.
 
I have the MDR-V150 and have been using it for more than 10 years, tried several others over the years and didn't like any. IMHO, the sounf quality and comfort on the earlobes is unparalleled.
