Sony has hit a new low

I was in Best Buy last week and walking by the PS3 kiosk when a BB employee said to his buddy, "Better go get the key, the damn PS3 is locked up again..."

Kinda made me laugh

What a terrible lie. lol
but by whom, Sony or (much more likely) destructoid.com?

Spread some BS, draw the gullible h8rs in like flies, watch site traffic soar.

I can believe it happened but I also don't think a retail rep speaks for ALL of Sony. These guys are just a step-up from clueless EB Games/Gamestop employees.

That's kinda funny, I was in Walmart just yesterday checking for Wiimotes, and the PS3 was just sitting there saying "Please wait..."

It still reflects poorly on the quality of the retail product.

I stopped buying Sony in early 2001 because the Sony products I owned all had a knack for dying a month or two out of warranty.

That and I could get better products with better warranties for less money. Samsung FTW 😉

you didnt know, they have a built in timer that destroys the product as soon as the warranty runs out

On a related note, there are about 15 60GB PS3s and 2 360s and 0 Wiis at the local target. Been there all day according to the salesperson 😛

Not surprised about the 360s. Those have been healthily in stock everywhere I've gone despite seeing them in many shopper's arms.

PS3s....very surprising.

I walked into BB today and they had a whole pyramid stack of 360s. No Wiis... didn't bother looking for the PS3s.

Other console demos in the past either reset or return to the select screen after the timer runs out. How is freezing better than this previous practice.
