anyone have anything bad to say about this monitor before i order it? I want best quality 19" so i am prepared to spend the extra 100 over its competitors.. this old viewsonic is killin me eyes. im gona use it for my 2nd comp and use sony for primary rig.

Yeah all our viewsonics died within 1 or 2 years (4 different models as well). We'll probably never buy another viewsonic again, warranty work was a nightmare.


The Sony G520 is a great monitor, but you might want to try and score one of those Dell 22" Trinitron monitors in black, same tube as the sony, and Dell runs them with 20% off on occasion. We have one of each here and they both rock - but the Dell was almost $200 cheaper. 🙂

Edit: Oops, so you're looking at the 19" version eh? Well maybe dell makes a 19" trinitron with the same tube, very likely. Then all you have to do is wait a little bit until they run a 15% or 20% off...
 
i would get a samuns 900nf..


a lot cheaper than a sony..

but than again i have a g520 too..

but the g420 is an excellent monitor
