SONY G400 ????????

I just bought the Sony G400, and I was wondering if there was any way to get rid of that brown dot in the lower-right hand corner, and what would be the best settings for optimal geometry. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Brown dot? How big is it? One pixel or bigger? Anyway the "rumor" is Sony has been having quality control problems. This dot doesn't seem normal. You may want to exchange the monitor. btw, where was this monitor manufactured? Could you look on the back and tell me. I'm curious where Sony manufactures monitors these days.

Brown dot? How big is it? Try degaussing the monitor; it's under the "Option" controls. The geometry settings of the monitor are basically a user preference, since you'll have to adjust the controls so that your screen looks perfectly square (nearly impossible, but you can get it very close). Download this monitor tweaking program here:

Monitor Test Tool

I used it to correct a color convergence problem I had on my Sony E400. It's still not perfect, but better than it was at the factory default setting. You can use it also for setting up your geometry and other settings.

They're being made in Japan and Mexico.

It's like a brown stain, and is not visible unless the screen is white, and even then it's still just a little noticeable. It's manufactured in Mexico. The screen just seems a little blury to my eyes, maybe that program will help. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
