I have one of these, and it makes for a great webcam! The quality is a lot better than those logitech quickcams, and the price isn't half bad either :)

Ditto here. I made a thread on this about 2 years ago when walmart had them with the game for #10. I had a $100+ Logitech orbit camera that was supposedly 1.5mp, and the sony camera spanked it big time! I sold my orbit for $75 and got 3 of these. If I can find my shots I took between the two I will be sure to post it for you all to see.
The image is clear as a bell and I highly recommend getting it just to use as a web camera, plus it also has a built in mic too.

Don't you mean D-Link? Because, those drivers are D-link drivers and not logitech...

Actually, Sony used 2 different OEM's. Some of the Eye Toys were made by Logitech, the others by Namtai. There are 2 sets of drivers depending on the hardware version you have.

Purchased for in-store pickup. Thanks, OP! Been wanting one of these both for webcam use and if I ever get a supported game for my PS/2.

6.99 in-store

edit: Labeled as clearance on the shelf, and marked at 6.99. NY store.

Works great on the PC, not so good on the PS2. Nice and bright and colorful on the PC, all washed out red on the PS2.

Seriously? I'll ask when I pick mine up today.

EDIT: I had them scan in-store and it came up $12.99. These things are smaller than how they look in pictures. First one installed fine, though the computer had a BSOD right after. :disgust: The ones I have are Namtai versions, not Logitech. I gave one to my sister-in-law so she can webcam with my mother-in-law. I'll probably give another to my sister. Hmmm, maybe I should buy a few more? I actually have at least one PS/2 game that supports it (Dance Factory) and I want to use it on my desktop computer, and don't want to have to plug/unplug it all the time.

Does not work in 64 bit vista unfortunately. Used it as a mic back when I was in XP. Now it's pretty useless. Got mine about 2 years ago for $2.99 at Kmart. Pretty sure there was no game included.

I think I just got screwed at BeastBuy. I went to the store this morning, and I found five of them in the aisle, and I took them and my printout of the web site (showing in-store availability as well) to the customer service counter. There was a guy and a girl there. I tell them I want to price-match, they both do something on their registers, and the girl says that it's an outlet price, and they they don't match outlet prices. I told her I could just order it for in-store pickup and recieve that price, and she said that it wasn't showing that option. (Strange, since some here on the thread mentioned in-store pickup, and I swear that's what I clicked in order to see in-store availability.) After she walked away, the guy said, "Sure, I'll sell them to you for $9." He scans them into the register, and the little credit card entry/display thing says $31.45. But then he starts punching away at the keyboard and the price just goes up and up. Up to $47.xx. I ask him if the in-store price was lower, he says "no", and then says something like "these weren't in the computer right". Yeah, sure. So it looks like it was ringing up in-store at $5.99, but he price-adjusted UPWARDS to $8.99. What a bastard.

This was at the Marlboro, MA store, btw.
