I want a smartphone and have considered the iPhone, but im guessing its not going to be cheap here in switzerland (in comparison if i extend my current contract for a year i can now get the p1i for 190$). So im thinking about the sony ericsson smartphones.
Seeing as the p5 is coming out though it would be stupid to get the p1i. So im wondering if anyone has any information on the p5, eg. release date, pricing, specs? And does anyone think the p5 looks slightly odd, like a disproportionate slider phone?
Also regarding the gps on smartphones in general, it is my understanding that the maps are downloaded from google each time you want to use the gps, this cand end up costing quite. Is there any way to save all switzerland maps for example on a memory stick and use that instead? Also are phone gps's so good that you could use them in car or are they too slow for that?
