I just renewed my contract for ATT and picked up the Sony Ericsson C905A that ATT is giving away free w/ 2 year renewal. after debranding the phone which was a surprisingly very simple and trouble free process for this phone,

i have wifi, 8MP camera and GPS. I don't have a data plan and don't plan on getting one with ATT hence why I have held off on getting a smartphone. Battery life looks to be pretty good and sound quality for calls is already way better than my experience w/ the iPhone.

I've always had great experience w/ sony ericsson phones and it seems like this one is just improving on that. the UI on SE phones are all the same and they are very simple to figure out. maybe i'm biased because i've been using SE phones since 2003.

so bottom line: if you want a great phone and don't want to pay for a data plan, get the Sony Ericsson C905A. current deal ($0 with 2 year contract ) at ATT can't be beat right now.

not bad, i bought the same one early this year unlocked asian model for $350ish. replaced my SE k810 which was also a cybershot camera phone.

the camera was good until i dropped it, now i think the sensor shifted and my pictures don't focus good anymore.

battery life is around 2 days for me on standby and 1 day if i get some good talking on it.

sound quality been good for me also

I turned off 3G, which saves a ton of battery life, since I am connected to wifi for any data needs, and have Data disabled on my SIM card anyways.

It's a good phone, and while not technically a smart phone, it can do a lot. Push email, for example. The camera is outstanding. I went from a K850i to an x1a, and the camera quality is so horrible. Camera quality will be a big part of my next phone.
