anyone else just watch it?

had some REALLY good looking games.

i'm REALLY excited for that beyond game, as well as the new GOW game.

i think the story book thing looks cool and i know kids will eat that stuff up.

but The Last of Us ... HOLY SHIT THAT GAME LOOKS AWESOME!!!
 
The Last of Us looked friggin amazing! I am curious as to that Call of Duty: Declassified. I hope it's not some half cooked attempt to make some quick money. I really wasn't too impressed by PS All Stars, wasn't a fan of Smash Bros either.
 
yea i gotta say i was absolutely bored within about 10 seconds of PS allstars. it is WAY too much of a smash bros ripoff to stand on it's own.

farcry 3 was also terrible, and assassins creed 3 on ps3 looked like it definitely has some promise.
 
Sony was probably the best conference, though that doesn't say much.

God of War is...god of war, that book game was dumb, the Last of Us looks like a linear and scripted game, nothing wrong with that I suppose, I enjoyed the Uncharted Games but I was expecting some awesome openworld survival gameplay.

I was really hoping for a Final Fantasy Versus 14 (Secret Trailer had it tagged as FF15) trailer, but didn't get it.

This E3 is a massive failure
 
I think 2013 will be the big E3, when the Orbis and 720 get announced and dated. This year really feels like a wrap up of the current generation.
 
I thought the last of us looked good, not really blown away though. Really wanted to see more of the infected and the exploration. After a whole day of watching game after game of people shoot and stab each other in the face, it seemed like much of the same. I also question how much control you have over that combat, seemed super scripted to me.

God of war looked like god of war.

I def wanna see more of beyond: two souls. Heavy rain was great, so theres a lot of potential here. I just hope its about more than shooting people in the face.

Interesting to see the spinoffs on vita. Will never play the AC or COD on it since I'll never buy a vita, but if they're decent enough, they'll probably be ported over to real consoles.

That smash bros ripoff was such a joke though. What a total piece of garbage. Seemed like the most shameless ripoff they could have come up with.

Overall a solid showing. Short of announcing a PS4, I don't see how they could have really done much better.
 
Last of Us looked pretty good. Wanted to see some zombies but it definitely felt like you were watching The Road which is, good thing.
 
Last of Us looks amazing! Definitely on my radar of games to buy when they hit the $30 for GoTY edition.

Any hints at a release date? I'm imagining 2013? They couldn't be aiming for late-2012, could they? Considering they have yet to even imply a Fall/Holiday release?
 
Last of Us was great if not for all the drawn out BLEEEEEEPS on G4.

Beyond looked really intriguing, I want to read more about the story as it looks like it might be pretty engrossing a game.

AC3..holy crap the naval combat looked great. They said on G4 though that the battle was the PC version on some high end PC, so worried about what it will look like on PS3. But, AC3 Vita bundle? CHECK. I will be ordering that bad boy.
 
How about the PSN + announcement? They've got a TON of good games this month. I was on the fence about dropping $50 on it, but now I'm sold. So many good games I don't have, and one I just bought a week ago 🙁

i personally don't get excited about good games that are months/years old, because if i wanted to play them, i would have already done so, the prior months/years that they were available.

I'm late to the PS3 party having just got one for xmas, so this is perfect for me. I tend to be behind the times with games too because of work/family and usually play old games because they are in the bargain bin and it takes me forever to complete them. For example I got the Uncharted dual pack with my PS3 for xmas. I completed Uncharted 1 a month ago, and am only a couple chapters in on Uncharted 2. So, by the time I finish that Uncharted 3 will be a GOTY edition hopefully for like $20 or on PSN LOL
 
Definitely a ton of cool stuff on PS+. Finally got me to sign up.

But sweet jesus their purchasing process is SO BAD. Why do I have to manually pick download in background for everything one at a time? Why does it have to take minutes each time I click it to reserve space? And then I have to install separately from download, which takes FOREVER for a long game. This is absolute insanity compared to XBL.

No kidding. Took me about an hour to get all the downloads started last night and 72GB later it is all still downloading. Hopefully it will all be done by the time I get home for work.
