Sony dsc-w55 7.1MP Digital Camera

Office Depot is advertising the sony dsc-w55 on sale for $149. Staples advertises the same camera for $199 with a free Sony 512MB Memory Stick Pro Duo. I was able to get Staples to match the price and still get the memory stick. It rings up for 0.00 when purchasing it with the camera.

I think they were supposed to match the price 110% so I will be going back to see if I can get the 5 bucks back.

On a side note, Staples had a couple Antec CPU cooler on clearance... about half off. One was like 8 bucks (Socket A) and the other was about 15 (various Intel and AMD chips)

I asked them about it when I was there at Staples and they told me that this didn't qualify. That isn't true.
b.t.w. My friend went to Office Depot and they gave him a memory stick too.

It is advertised in their weekly ad in my area.
make sure they are look up the dsc-w55 and not the w50.

Thanks! I will pass by there and check. I have to pay toll to get there...lol. I need to make sure. 🙂

Anyone know if the body is metallic, or the cheapish plastic that SONY uses??? If it's plastic, I might just forget it and go buy a Casio Exilim.

If it helps, It definitely seemed to be made better than many of the ultra-compacts that I have seen.

Well, I ended up getting a SONY N2 after everything. So far, I am digging the touch screen, but not really digging the picture quality too much, but it might be because I've been taking indoor pictures. Don't get me wrong they look good but not $400 good. lol

I ended up paying $250 w/2GB card off of a good friend who wants to upgrade to something better, so I ain't complaining toomuch. 🙂
