Sony DSC-F717 $699 No PM/No Coupon Needed!

Now only if Sony will lower the darn rip off prices on the memory stick pro. I'm sick of carrying a few 128MB MS around.

Lower MS prices?? That will be left to Lexar or Sandisk...

It's still overpriced comparing to other memory types, even the regular MS.

Not really, my last three 128mb memory sticks were all acquired at about $25 a piece. That's in the same ballpark as CompactFlash. Long gone are the days when memory sticks had a 100% premium.

Yes, but that had to be after rebate. Memory sticks are needlessly expensive.

Compact Flash (before rebate) are still usually at least $40 before rebate or deal for a 128mb stick. Lexar's same size memory sticks have been $40-45 before rebate for a while now. (the cheapest compact flash prices are for the crappier brands too, so even if lexar ms < sony ms, we're still comparing memory cards/sticks of similar quality level.

Edit: I would have to agree with you though if you were arguing the price and availability of sticks > 128mb. Compared to other memory technologies, MS is way behind on that one. I've been dying for a larger stick for the longest time now. 🙂
