No its not hot. Staples has it for cheaper and its also retail boxxed. They show it as $179.98 before 30 MIR. Use the printable $30 off $150 coupon thats posted around the internet and the total price after rebate is only $120! I wonder which is better, this or the pioneer dvr-106/a06u.

Well, I picked one up for that price a while ago but prices have taken a nose-dive on these in recent months. Still a lot of retailers are still insistent on selling it for nearly $300.

I don't think any Black Fri sales are going to be much MUCH better. It's a solid 4X capable dual format DVD burner so far for me. I'd try to get Staples/OD to PM it and then mebbe use a coupon/rebate. Most BBYs would prolly turn you down like they did last time to me despite having an printed ad price. EDIT: I suspect that it's too big of a loss for most managers to want to take at BBY.

It's the same price ($150 AR) at Beast Buy this week, but I noticed that the rebate is good until MARCH, so you could prolly wait for it to be discontinued, buy at a clearance sale and then tag on the rebate.

With 8X burners coming out now, look for major price drops on dual-format 4X drives real soon. $300 is now the ceiling on prices.
