sony dru500ax and 4X burning

I was wondering if anyone has used 4X dvd-r media on a sony DRU500AX drive. If so what type of branded media did you use. I know the drive works with DVD+R media at 4x but will it work with DVD-R media at 4X.

Yes, the drive should burn both DVD-R and DVD+R at 4X.
