Comp-U-Plus

Price: $429.00
Item is brand new and in Stock! Usually ships in 1-2 Business Days

I chose this camera over:

Canon G5 - too big!
Canon S50 - sliding door sucks
Sony Cybershot DSC-P10 - no manual modes

Great deal and fast shipping.

Great camera with Carl Zeiss lens, but after using two cybershots in the past 2 years, I'm passing on this one. the V1 uses the same tiny battery used in the P series, and drains faster than average lithium ion batteries I've used. It's simply too small in size to hold much charge.

Nevertheless, great camera, awesome colors and as usual fine craftsmanship.

yes, i did, however, i also wanted manual modes and a camera that used memory sticks so i can share it with my Sony digital camcorder.

the thing about digital cameras...there are so many! the task of selection was long and difficult so i had to set rules to my search to narrow down the list of potentials...

Dell has this camera on sale right now for $419.10. My brother has it and its great. I am just waiting for a year or two until I can get a camera that records mpeg4 - allows for much longer movies using the same storage space.

I perfer the DSC-T1

i definitely like the size and the huge 2.5 inch lcd, however, no manual modes...

Sorry, I'm not a DC expert, but what the manual modes can do on a point & shoot camera?

Small camera, lots of options and great image quality. The T1 isn't really in the same category as the V1. The Canon G3 would be a closer match to the as far as image quality is concerned. The V1 has some really strong features like superb low light capabilities, a Ziess lens and a good range of usable ISO settings with managable niose levels.
