A CPD-G500 costs @1160 US.
Am I being ripped-off or what!?
This is the cheapest deal I get from where I live. Also forget about on-line shopping 'cuz the tax and shipping would actually cost more and you lose warranty.
I need advise from you guys since I'm going to need a new monitor very soon. I'd prefer to stick with a Sony brand(for some really damn good piece of mind) and want no less than 19". So if I'm gonna spend THIS much for a monitor, do you think I should go all out and get the G500(the price/performance ration leans more favorably to this one)? Aprreciate any help. Thanks.

Um the G400 is $550 shipped from Onvia.com. No tax unless you live in Washington or Arizona. Also, buying from the internet doesnt void your warranty, I dont know where you came up with that.

What I meant about losing the warranty bit is that since I live in Asia, and if I buy something from abroad and if contains defects, it would be a TREMENDOUS hassle on my part to have it fixed, if you know what I mean. So there.
Anyway, man, $550 is real cheap compared to $729! Too bad I'm stuck with less choices here and ludicrously high prices!

I just ordered a G400 from onvia.com for 457. Onvia lists it for 507 (about 20 less than the E400, go figure). I used a 50 dollar off coupon (go to techbargins.com). Free shipping, no sales tax.

Bottom line....457 delivered. A great value.
